Aniimo Launches September 16 on PC and Consoles, September 23 on Mobile

Pawprint Studio dated Aniimo at gamescom Opening Night Live: September 16, 2026 at 10:00 UTC+8 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Epic, then September 23 on iOS and Android, with more than 200 Aniimo at launch.

Aniimo has a day, not just a window. At gamescom Opening Night Live on August 26, 2026, Pawprint Studio put a Launch Date Announcement trailer on stage and confirmed the two dates that close out three closed betas: PC and consoles on September 16, 2026 at 10:00 (UTC+8), and mobile on September 23, 2026.

The split is worth reading carefully, because it is a staggered launch rather than a single global switch. September 16 covers PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store. September 23 brings the App Store and Google Play versions. The base game stays exactly what it has always been billed as: free-to-play, with no purchase required to download or start.

One timezone trap is worth defusing before it spreads. The official announcement states 10:00 on September 16 in UTC+8, which is 04:00 on September 16 in Central Europe (03:00 in the UK) but still the evening of September 15 in North America, the date Steam’s store capsule shows there. Both are the same moment, and the PlayStation Store lists the identical UTC+8 instant. If you see “September 15” quoted anywhere, it is not a competing date, it is the same launch rendered in a North American timezone. Our release date guide carries the per-region conversion.

The announcement also settled a number this site has refused to print for months. The accompanying press release states that more than 200 different Aniimo will be available at launch. Until now that figure circulated with no official source attached, so we tagged it community and kept it out of our data. It is now first-party and citable. For scale: the Global Closed Beta build shipped 93 numbered Aniimo, so the launch roster is more than double what testers actually saw. Our creature database is built on the beta build and grows as the launch roster opens up.

What this means for players (editor’s note): a September 16 console and PC date with mobile trailing by exactly one week tells you the studio is protecting its heaviest platforms first, and it gives cross-platform households something to plan around. If you play on both, start on PC or console and pick mobile up on the 23rd rather than waiting. The days between this announcement and launch week are the right time to read the beginner guide, decide your starter and get download-ready with our download walkthrough. And if you tested in the Global Closed Beta, check which account you sealed an Aniimo on before the servers closed, because that egg is the only thing crossing over.
