Egg Heist

Egg Heist, in the game Operation: Egg Heist, sends a team of up to three into the Lost Isles. You search the isles and the Lost Sanctum below them for eggs and relics, then extract. Your first 3 rounds on each difficulty are protected; after that, fainting costs everything in your backpack and everything you have equipped. Team Mode has four difficulties, from Beginner to Chaos, and opens at Wayfarer III.

How a Team Mode run works

The Hard card sums it up: “Explore the ruins of the Lost Isles to find the entrance to the Lost Sanctum. Venture deep into the labyrinth in search of rare Eggs, then escape with them and evacuate by boat.” In order:

    Pick a difficulty, bring its key

    Beginner, Hard, Nightmare or Chaos. Each has its own key to the Sanctum’s locked rooms (the Gilded Key covers Nightmare and Chaos) and names the gear quality it expects. Past Beginner, each also has an Entry Rank: Rising Egg Scout III for Hard, Pro Egg Snatcher IV for Nightmare, Elite Egg Seeker IV for Chaos.

    Search the Lost Isles

    Pick up what lies on the ground and open containers to fill your backpack. The more you carry, the heavier your Load.

    Go down into the Lost Sanctum

    A Main or a Side Entrance leads into one of the Sanctum’s predefined layouts: egg nests and their guards, locked key rooms, and the Limited-Time Challenge. The Side Entrance “leads straight into its depths. Great opportunities often come with great risks!”

    Meet the Escape Condition, then extract

    Beginner, Hard and Nightmare list two: submit 1 egg, and team Eggshell Coins earned (20,000, 60,000, 150,000). Chaos lists only the coins: 300,000. Eggs your team submits are shared with everyone, and a successful extraction is what earns them.

What a run pays

Eggs come from the Sanctum’s Egg Nests. Its reward table lists an egg chance of 5 % on Beginner, 10 % on Hard, 15 % on Nightmare and 25 % on Chaos for its rooms, and each locked key room can hold a nest of its own. Each difficulty’s featured rewards (Umbral Aniimo Egg, Mysterious Prismana Egg, Large Umbral Aniimo Egg, Evercrystal Egg…) are on its card above.

Everything else you carry out, the herbs, relics, ores and gems, sells for Eggshell Coins, the mode’s currency. They pay for your gear, keys and eggs in the shop below, and for the talent tree.

Umbral Aniimo and Chaos

The Limited-Time Challenge

“Guards are incoming. Defeat more Guards within the time limit for better rewards.” They are Umbral Aniimo: 15 waves of 3 to 14, 124 in all, on every difficulty; from wave 7, Chaos fields other species. 6, 15 and 30 kills pay one, two, then three Exquisite Relic Chests; 60, 90 and 120, one, two, then three Luxurious Ruin Chests. Each layout sets one room aside for it (one Nightmare and Chaos layout has none).

An Umbral nest guard

An Umbral Omega Stellarys guards egg nests: 15 of the 25 regular nest spots on Nightmare and Chaos, 40 to 50 % of the time, and 12 of the 14 on Hard, 16 to 20 % of the time.

Umbral eggs

Umbral Aniimo Eggs are among the difficulties’ featured rewards and the rank rewards, and the shop’s Mystery Egg Box gives “a chance of getting a rare Umbral Aniimo Egg or an extremely rare Prismana Aniimo Egg”.

Chaos, the fourth difficulty

Chaos arrived with version 1.1 on 24 September. The official notice calls it “the pinnacle difficulty mode, requiring a Chaos Ticket for entry”, unlocked at Tier IV “Elite Egg Seeker” (Elite Egg Seeker IV in the game). It uses the Nightmare layouts, its Escape Condition lists only team Eggshell Coins earned (300,000), every monster carries a Chaos Difficulty Monster Buff, and up to five elites can appear. Tickets come from the ranks (3 on reaching Elite Egg Seeker, more at later rank steps) and from the shop’s Hot tab: from 20,000 coins, with higher price steps, 20 a day. The notice promises “significantly higher drop rates for Prismana Aniimo Eggs and Prismatic Collectibles, alongside opportunities to discover ultra-rare Secret Collectibles”, and “strict escape conditions”.

Every species placed in the Lost Isles and in the Sanctum’s rooms.

Climb the ranks

A successful extraction with items of sufficient value earns rank points toward your seasonal rank: the higher the value, the more points. There are 7 ranks, from Rookie Egg Hunter to Egg Emperor, each with its own tiers – higher ranks drop richer reward boxes.

The whole tree costs 15,040,000 Eggshell Coins, plus 20 Blue, 90 Purple and 82 Gold Essence and 28 Honeyglow Starine. It opens after your first match. A third branch, Gear Crafting, is named in the game but has no talents yet.

Rules that matter

Beginner Protection

“For each difficulty mode in Operation: Egg Heist Team Mode, the first 3 rounds have Beginner Protection. During this period, if a Pathfinder fails to extract, their BINI #9 unit, amplifier, chip, backpack, and all items inside are fully retained.” Each match you enter uses one of them, whatever happens; it keeps only your own items, and those rounds show the whole Sanctum map.

Then, faint and you lose what you carry

The difficulty cards warn that if you faint, you lose everything in your backpack along with what you have equipped. The Self-Revival talent: “Can self-revive while downed if a teammate is alive. Once per match.”

Eggs are shared on extraction

The cards say it (Beginner in its own words): “Eggs submitted during the run are shared with the entire team, and a successful extraction will earn you the Eggs!”

Rank points

“Points earned per successful extraction are closely tied to the item value.” “Failed extractions deduct points. If your points drop below a certain threshold, your rank may decrease.” “Your first successful extraction each day earns double rank points!” When the season ends, your rank is converted to a starting rank for the next one.

Load

“All items in Operation: Egg Heist have a weight attribute.” “As the Load increases, it gradually affects the Pathfinder’s Stamina recovery speed, Stamina consumption speed, fall damage, and movement speed. When the Load reaches its limit, the Pathfinder becomes overwhelmed and instantly stunned, unable to perform any actions!”

Lucky Chests

Each successful extraction gives a Lucky Chest, if you have an empty Chest slot and have not hit the daily limit; your rank sets how many, how good and how many slots. Higher-quality Chests take longer to unlock, and unclaimed Chests turn into Eggshell Coins at the season’s end.

Gear for the difficulty

Your BINI #9 carries an Attack Amplifier and a Protective Unit. A Rare Amplifier “significantly increases damage against targets on Hard difficulty or lower”, a Rare Unit “significantly increases defense” against the same; Nightmare and Chaos want Epic or Legendary gear.

From the closed betas: the Giant Darkler Egg and Diamond Egg Heist

Two names from before launch still come up. The second closed beta (January 2026) announced Egg Heist around a Giant Darkler Egg, and the publisher FunPlus announced Diamond Egg Heist for the Global CBT, up to six teams of three racing for one egg. The launch game has no prize or mode by those names: today’s Team Mode runs pay the eggs and relics above.
