Aniimo Transmog: How to Change Your Aniimo's Color
Yes, an Aniimo can change color, and the game calls it Aniimo Transmog. For now it belongs to one creature, Irisalis: where the button is, what a roll costs, the exact rates, the four sets you can land, and where Radiant Dreamshadow and Glimmering Driftshadow come from.
You can. Recoloring is part of the game: it is called Aniimo Transmog, and it does more than a tint. It re-draws the Color, the Wings, the Headwear, the Body and the Effects of an Aniimo, look by look, until you land the set you want. At launch it opens for a single creature, Irisalis, the Legendary of the Legendary Journey story. This guide walks through the screen the way the game does: what a roll costs, what it can give you, and where the two items that pay for it come from.

Only Irisalis, for now
The Transmogrify button lives on the Aniimo’s own page. Open Aniimo Management, pick Irisalis, and it sits with the other actions; on any other Aniimo it is simply not there. So the first step is to have Irisalis at all, which means finishing its chapter of the Legendary Journey and crafting the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis.
« Twine with the Legendary Aniimo Irisalis and make it your ally. »
Transmog is purely a look. Irisalis keeps its stats, its skills and its Potential whatever it wears, and the new appearance follows it everywhere: in the world, in battle, in the Photo Studio and on your team screen.
The five parts
The screen splits Irisalis into five parts, and each one is drawn on its own. Color is open from the start; the game then says it plainly: « Reach a cumulative number of transmogs to unlock more transmog parts. » Progress climbs by 10 with every roll, and the next parts open at 150, 400, 750 and 1,200.

Headwear400 progress

The fifth part is special. Effects is « fixed at Legendary quality and can be unlocked through Transmog »: there is nothing to roll there, only a glow to switch on once it is yours.
The odds of a roll
One roll costs one Radiant Dreamshadow and re-draws every part that is open and not locked. The rates are the ones the screen shows:
77.42 %Rarethe base looks
19.36 %Epictwo sets and three colors
3.22 %Legendarytwo sets and three colorsAnd a floor: « A Legendary part is guaranteed within 62 attempts. » Every roll also feeds the ten-slot History, so a good draw is never lost the moment you roll again.
The four sets
A set is a Color, Wings, Headwear and Body that belong together. Land the four pieces of one and Irisalis becomes a different creature. Two are Epic, two are Legendary:

Epic setFloral GlowColor: Cherry-Blossom Afterglow
Epic setShadowthorn PhantomColor: Deep Violet
Legendary setStarbloom MoonlightColor: Nightglow
Legendary setSunflare RoseColor: Radiant GoldA set piece is worth more than a lone look of the same rarity on the Transmog Score, which is how the game ranks your presets: 100 for a Rare piece either way, but 500 instead of 300 for an Epic set piece and 1,000 instead of 500 for a Legendary one.
Every color, and its chance
Color has the deepest pool: 16 looks plus the default, and every one has the same chance inside its rarity. The number on each chip is its chance on a roll with nothing locked.

Each of the three has one Rare look, Iris in First Bloom (77.42 %), the two Epic sets at 9.68 % each and the two Legendary sets at 1.61 % each. That is why a full Legendary set is the long game: Color has to land on the set’s color, and the three other parts each have to land on the same set.
Locking parts: dearer rolls, better odds
Once a part is what you want, lock it and it stays through the next rolls. The game’s rule is short: « You can lock up to 3 parts. The more parts you lock, the more items are consumed. When parts are locked, consuming more items increases the bonus transmog chance and speeds up Progress growth. » Here is what each lock does to the roll:
× 13.22 %Legendary chanceguaranteed within 62
× 24.29 %Legendary chanceguaranteed within 47
× 45.97 %Legendary chanceguaranteed within 34
× 88.84 %Legendary chanceguaranteed within 23
At least one part always stays open, so the fourth lock is refused. And the price doubles per lock, so three locks are the endgame of a set hunt, not the way to start one: lock the Legendary color you landed, roll the wings, lock them, and so on. The screen warns you before a roll would overwrite a Legendary piece you have not locked.
Glimmering Driftshadow, the cheaper roll
« Use to change part of an Aniimo’s appearance and give it a new look. »
The second item is the budget one. Glimmering Driftshadow « can only transmog certain parts, cannot be used while parts are locked, and does not increase Transmog Progress for restricted parts or any parts unlocked afterward »: it rolls the first three parts, Color, Wings and Headwear, and refuses to work the moment a lock is set. Its one advantage is its price, two Irisalis Petals in the Legendary Journey shop, so it is the item for the early rolls, when nothing is worth locking yet. The game spends it first whenever its conditions are met, and you can also tick Use Exclusively to make sure a roll never touches your Radiant Dreamshadow.
Presets, history and the Transmog Score
Nothing you roll is applied on the spot. The screen keeps a History of your ten best draws, ranked by Transmog Score, and you pick one to Save & Apply. Applying clears the History, so it is the moment of decision. Beyond that you have two preset slots of your own, My Presets, to keep a second look ready and swap Irisalis between them without rolling again.
Preset 1Floral Glow
Preset 2Starbloom Moonlight

Historyyour 10 best drawsThe score adds up the pieces you wear: 100, 300 or 500 for a Rare, Epic or Legendary look, and 100, 500 or 1,000 when the piece belongs to a set. Saving a preset that scores lower than the one you wear asks for a confirmation, nothing more. The same rolls also fill the Transmogrification: Ascend bar at 10 progress each, the ladder that opens the parts:
Colorfrom the start
Wings150 progress
Headwear400 progress
Body750 progress
Effects1,200 progressLocked parts speed that bar up, since a roll with locks burns more items and « speeds up Progress growth »; Glimmering Driftshadow, on the other hand, adds nothing for the parts it cannot roll.
Where Radiant Dreamshadow comes from

10 Radiant Dreamshadow
380 Lumin Crystals
2 Irisalis Petals each
« Points earned from transmogrification. »
1 Radiant Dreamshadow for 1 EssenceRadiant Dreamshadow is the Legendary roll item, and the only one that works once a part is locked: « Only Radiant items can be used while slots are locked. » Its pack is the Shop’s First Encounter in Light, ten for 380 Lumin Crystals, up to three times, from 25 September at 10:00 server time until 8 October. When you run out mid-screen, the roll button offers a quick purchase rather than sending you to the Shop. The Aniimart carries a Transmog Shop tab that trades one Transmog Essence for one Dreamshadow, five a week; that tab is closed at launch, so the pack and the petals are the two live sources.
