Resonance: Star-Up and Ascension

Resonance is how one Aniimo grows past its level. It climbs seven stages; a stage holds as many stars as its number, and every star is bought with Dewdrop Crystals and adds attributes. A full stage ascends: a level to reach, crystals plus the Elemental Stone of the Aniimo's element, and a bonus the game states. Every number below is the game's own table.

Star Up

“Use Dewdrop Crystals in the Resonance Star-Up system to strengthen Aniimo and gradually increase their base attributes such as ATK and HP. After reaching max stars in the current stage, spend Elemental Stones and other items to ascend and unlock stronger attribute bonuses.”

What it costs

Two kinds of material, both from the game's item catalogue. The crystals pay for stars and ascensions alike; the stone joins in at each ascension.

Dewdrop Crystals

Three crystals qualify, each in the game's own words: the family's exclusive one, the region's, and the Precious one that stands in for any family's.

Elemental Stones, by element

The stone an ascension asks for is the one of the Aniimo's element (the game's pet configuration maps each element to its stone). The Flux Crystal substitutes for any of them.

  • “Alpha Aniimo roam every area of the open world. Check the Map to see where they are. Defeat an Alpha and open its Alpha Chest to obtain materials such as Dewdrop Crystals, Elemental Stones, and Star Dust.”
  • “Has a chance to be obtained when catching Aniimo of the same family” (Emberpup Dewdrop Crystal)
  • “Consumes Stamina to craft Emberpup Dewdrop Crystal” (Semi-finished Emberpup Dewdrop Crystal)
  • “A lucky chest sold by Lumintech. Open it to receive a random amount of Dewdrop Crystals.” (Dewdrop Crystal Chest · Exchange at Operation: Egg Heist Shop)
  • “Dewdrop Crystals are formed from overflowing Vein energy, condensed and refined over long periods.”

What carries over

Two lines the game ships about Resonance and an Aniimo's fate:

  • “The Aniimo’s EXP, level, Resonance stage and Star Rank, Capability Awakening, Capafruit, and more are fully inherited. Any surplus growth items are returned in full.”
  • “You can release Aniimo from the Aniimo Management section. Released Aniimo leave the Pathfinder’s side. Items spent on Resonance star ups and ascensions are fully refunded, while some items spent on leveling up are partially refunded.”
