Egg Heist Team Mode sends your team into the Lost Isles: find the entrance to the Lost Sanctum, search its labyrinth for rare eggs and relics, then leave by boat. This guide follows a run in the order you play it: the difficulty, BINI #9’s gear, the talents, the Limited-Time Challenge, then the way out. What you carry out and what it is worth is on the Egg Heist loot page; ranks and the shop are on Egg Heist, screen by screen.

The rule that decides everything: faint, and you lose what you carry

The warning on the Hard, Nightmare and Chaos cards

“If you Faint, you will lose everything in your backpack along with what you’ve equipped!”

The backpack, the Amplifier, the Unit, their chips, the key you kept for a locked room.

Beginner says the same in its own words. It holds from your fourth round on a difficulty: the first 3 have Beginner Protection, “During this period, if a Pathfinder fails to extract, their BINI #9 unit, amplifier, chip, backpack, and all items inside are fully retained.” Each match you enter uses one of the three, whatever happens; the protection keeps only your own items, never a teammate’s; and those rounds show the whole Sanctum map, with no fog of war on the map panel. After that, everything below is a stake: what you bring in, you can lose. Eggs work the other way: the ones your team submits during the run are shared with everyone, and the successful extraction is what gives them to you. Two habits once your protected rounds are used: bring only what you can afford to lose, and keep a healer in the party.

Each difficulty takes its own key to open the Sanctum’s locked rooms, sold in the Egg Heist Shop’s Equip tab (the Silver-Plated Key from Rising Egg Scout, the Gilded Key from Pro Egg Snatcher) and, inside a run, at the Black Market (20,000, 80,000 and 150,000 coins, 2 per match). The Gilded Key covers both Nightmare and Chaos. Each card names the gear quality it expects, and the gear’s own text shows why: a Rare Amplifier “significantly increases damage against targets on Hard difficulty or lower”, and no further. Past Beginner, each card also has an Entry Rank. The featured rewards and the entry level of each difficulty are on the loot page.

BINI #9’s gear: an Amplifier and a Unit

Your BINI #9 companion carries two pieces: an Attack Amplifier, which raises your damage, and a Protective Unit, which lowers the damage you take. Their quality decides how far up the difficulties they still hit hard, how many chips they hold, and their durability.

The Hot tab sells some for less (the Uncommon pieces at 1,000, the Rare ones at 30,000, the Epic Tactics and Exploration pieces at 60,000 with Half-Price Goods II), and the Black Market sells gear inside a run.

Past Uncommon, each piece comes in variants that change one thing: their chip slots. A skill chip needs a Skills slot, and only the Tactics Amplifiers (Rare and Epic), the Mobility Amplifier (Epic) and every Legendary Amplifier have one.

Repair before you go back in

Durability and repairs
  • In the lobby, Repair costs Eggshell Coins and lowers the piece’s max durability. Past a point it stops working: “This gear is too badly worn and cannot be repaired.”
  • In a run, Energy Stones are the repair kits: Pulse stones for the Amplifier, Harmonic stones for the Unit, from +60 to +180 points. Can only be used from your backpack. Every stone also costs the piece some durability, and the Experimental ones greatly reduce durability when used on advanced gear.
  • With no stone, there is the Emergency Repair: it costs more coins, and it lowers max durability too.

The talents: 28 nodes, 15 million coins

“Complete one match of Operation: Egg Heist to unlock the Egg Heist Talent system.” The whole tree costs 15,040,000 Eggshell Coins, plus 20 Blue, 90 Purple and 82 Gold Essence, dropped by the Aniimo that guards the Lost Sanctum, and 28 Honeyglow Starine. It lasts the season: “Pathfinders’ Egg Heist talent learning progress resets at the start of a new season.” Both branches open the same way: the fifth node needs the four before it, so take them as one package. Personal Growth is damage, survival and load; the Egg Boat side is faster searching, half-price shop items, Swift Egg and Tough Egg (faster and sturdier while twined with an Egg) and the Egg Boat Safe.

After that, the goal that matters most once fainting costs everything: Self-Revival, “Can self-revive while downed if a teammate is alive. Once per match.” The road (Emergency Evasion, Tenacious Will, then Self-Revival) costs 3,200,000 coins once you have Fully Loaded I. The full tree, branch by branch, is on the Egg Heist page.

The Limited-Time Challenge: 120 kills for three gold chests

The map calls it the Limited-Time Challenge: a timed fight against Umbral Aniimo, in 15 waves of 3 to 14. It pays for kills, not for surviving: 6, 15 and 30 guards give you one, two, then three purple chests; 60, 90 and 120 give you one, two, then three gold chests. The 15 waves hold 124 Aniimo, so the three gold chests leave you four to spare, not one more. 120 means the 110 guards of waves 1 to 14, plus 10 of the 14 in the last one. Each layout sets one room aside for it (one Nightmare and Chaos layout has none): the Lost Sanctum maps show where.

The Limited-Time Challenge

“Guards are incoming. Defeat more Guards within the time limit for better rewards.”

The game calls every wave (“Wave N of Aniimo is incoming. Defeat them quickly to earn Impact Rewards!”), and the challenge runs these waves on Beginner, Hard and Nightmare. Chaos keeps the same counts but, since the latest update, fields other Umbral Aniimo from wave 7: 5 Shrubclaw and 3 Irisal, 3 Pawney and 5 Tromber, 4 Stellarys and 4 Scorchhowl, 5 Glacy and 5 Panpanta, 4 Luminelle and 6 Panpanta, 6 Scorchhowl and 6 Tromber, 4 Pawney and 8 Tromber, 8 Pawney and 6 Shrubclaw, then 10 Luminelle and 4 Piopiota. When the challenge ends: “Challenge over. Interact with the Rift to transport to the Idol and claim your reward.”

A team built for the challenge

Your deployed Aniimo come into the Lost Isles with you, and each difficulty’s card warns that their attributes are tuned there: slightly on Beginner and Hard, significantly on Nightmare and Chaos. Here is our pick, built on what their skills do: one Aniimo to gather the wave, one to hit from range, a healer, and energy.

Getting out: extraction, rank points, the Lucky Chests

The Sanctum’s warnings
  1. “A surge of Vein energy has caused more Aniimo to appear in the Sanctum!”
  2. “More Aniimo have appeared, and the Vein energy has made them more dangerous!”
  3. “A horde of enraged Aniimo has emerged! Evacuate now!”
What a successful extraction pays
  • Eggs your team submits during the run are shared with everyone, and a successful extraction is what earns them.
  • “Your first successful extraction each day earns double rank points!”
  • “Successful extraction earns a Lucky Chest of random quality. Wait a while, then open the Chest to claim your reward.”
  • Beginner Protection, your first 3 rounds on each difficulty: “Beginner Protection activated. Your supplies will be preserved for this match!”
