Pawprint Studio and FunPlus have widened the launch reach of Aniimo. In an official announcement, the studio confirmed that the open-world creature-collecting ARPG will release on PlayStation 5 and the Epic Games Store, joining the previously named Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Xbox PC, and mobile. The game is set to launch in 2026, and wishlisting is available now for console and PC.
The reveal was timed to PAX East in Boston, where the studio confirmed a playable hands-on demo at Booth #16055. Attendees could try the latest build the same week the platform news broke.
The demo also debuted a new creature. Hoptail is an energetic Aniimo that stores electrical energy in its tail and can trigger explosive leaps upon release, making it the announcement’s featured electric-themed addition to the roster (see the full elements breakdown). It arrives alongside the game’s signature hook: the Twining mechanic, which lets players merge with magical Aniimo to unlock unique skills.
The announcement reiterated Aniimo’s core pitch. Players explore the world of Idyll, solve ancient mysteries, and use systems including the RV and Homeland. FunPlus noted the game had just concluded its biggest beta test yet, following an earlier second closed beta.
