Aniimo’s biggest pre-launch test is here. After being unveiled at the Future Games Show in early June alongside a Q3 2026 launch window, the Global Closed Beta Test now has firm dates: pre-download opens July 8 and the beta itself starts July 9 (UTC+8), per the official download guide on aniimo.com.
This is the third closed beta (after CB1 in mid-2025 and CB2 “Paws Up” earlier this year) and the first to run across PC and both mobile platforms at once. The studio describes it as a “limited access, non-charging, data-wipe beta,” so progress will not carry into the final game.
One correction worth flagging: several third-party outlets billed this test as Steam-exclusive. The official download guide says otherwise. The beta is available on PC (via the official-site download), iOS, Android and Steam. Recruitment through the sign-up questionnaire has closed, and selected Pathfinders are notified by email; you can also confirm your slot with the “Check Beta Access” function on the aniimo.com homepage. Our beta access guide covers the sign-up channels, and the download walkthrough covers getting the client onto each platform.
What makes this build worth the wait is the content teased for it. Testers get their first look at Island of Peace, a new water-themed region that would become the sixteenth named area on the continent of Idyll if it stays for launch. The Homeland housing system expands with new stores and accessories, and, in a genuine first, Pathfinders can now exchange Aniimo with each other.
Combat gets new marquee encounters too. The co-op boss roster includes Bubbask and Coraliz, and the headline mode is the Diamond Egg Heist: up to six teams of three race to twine with the diamond egg and escort it to safety, the closest thing the game has to a competitive showpiece. Our Egg Heist guide breaks down how the base mode works. The Future Games Show trailer also revealed new Aniimo (Bubbeep, Popapus, Mophling and Sausite), plus new forms Budsquire and Thornblade.
What this means for players (editor’s note): because this is a data-wipe test, treat it as a preview rather than a head start: nothing you build survives to launch. The value is in the new systems. Aniimo trading in particular is the kind of feature that reshapes how a creature-collector plays, so it is the one to scrutinise and give feedback on. And with the Q3 2026 window now attached to a build this feature-complete, the gap between “beta” and “launch” is narrowing fast.
For the running status of every date and platform as FunPlus firms them up, we keep the Global CBT status page pinned to official sources.
