How to Access the Aniimo Beta

How the Aniimo Global Closed Beta worked: the only legitimate sign-up channel, why recruitment is now closed, and what a pre-launch test does and does not guarantee.

So you want in early. Here is the honest state of play: the way to play Aniimo before the Q3 2026 launch is the Global Closed Beta, and it is now live (it started July 9, 2026). The catch: its recruitment window has already closed (sign-ups ran June 7 to July 5, 2026), so you can no longer join this round. If you registered in time, watch the email you signed up with for access. FunPlus has run four test phases so far, the only legitimate sign-up channel was the official Aniimo site, and a beta will not carry your progress to launch. This page is the no-hype walkthrough, pinned to official sources, with the unknowns said out loud.

Everything here is sourced from official communications only. Where FunPlus has not stated something, you will see it flagged as reported / not officially confirmed, never guessed.

The Global Closed Beta went live on July 9, 2026 (pre-download July 8); its sign-up window closed July 5. Official Aniimo announcement.

The short version

  • The beta is live, but recruitment has closed (start here) : the Global Closed Beta went live on July 9, 2026 (pre-download July 8), and its sign-up window already closed on July 5, 2026. The June 7, 2026 announcement opened sign-ups through the official site, which was the only legitimate way in. If you registered in time, check the email you signed up with for access. For live dates, platforms and what’s teased, follow the Global CBT status page. A much larger launch roster is reported (a 200+ figure has circulated), though it is not yet pinned to an official source we can link Community.
  • How invites actually work : FunPlus has not disclosed how Aniimo beta invitations are distributed, so nothing about access is guaranteed. Registering during the sign-up window may have helped, but it was never confirmed to grant access. Treat that as reported, not fact.
  • What a beta is not : a pre-launch test is not the launch game, and it is not early access you keep. This beta is officially described as a data-wipe test, so your progress will not carry over. Go in for the preview, not for a head start.

Confirmed beta phases

Here is every public or closed test FunPlus has officially confirmed for Aniimo. The first three are done; the fourth is live right now.

The platform list comes straight from the FunPlus launch-window press release and the June 7 sign-up announcement, and the live start and pre-download dates from the official beta announcement. You can see the same phases dated on our full roadmap.

What is actually confirmed about sign-up

This is the part where I separate what FunPlus has stated from what the community assumes. Take only the confirmed line as gospel.

  • The sign-up channel : sign-ups ran through the official site, and that window has now closed (recruitment ended July 5, 2026). That was the only confirmed channel. What was never confirmed is whether registering granted priority invites, so if you got your registration in, simply watch the email you used for access details.
  • The invitation method : FunPlus has not disclosed how Aniimo beta invites are distributed. Anyone telling you the exact selection rule is guessing. Treat the mechanism as reported / not officially confirmed.
  • Client and region : across the past Aniimo tests, the platforms used have been PC, iOS (TestFlight), PC (Steam), iOS and Android, per the Steam page and the launch-window press release. Past Closed Beta 2 recruitment closed on a hard deadline (Jan 20, 23:59 UTC+8), and the Global Closed Beta followed the same pattern: its recruitment closed on a fixed cutoff (July 5, 2026), so this round can no longer be joined.

Should you chase the beta?

Here is my honest take, fenced off from the facts above.

  • Chase it if you enjoy testing rough builds, reporting bugs and previewing systems early, and you accept that the build is incomplete and your progress will be wiped. If poking at an unfinished game and shaping it through feedback sounds fun to you, the beta is genuinely worth your time.
  • Skip it if you want the finished game. A beta will not give you a head start that carries to launch, so waiting costs you nothing but a preview. There is no penalty, in my view, for holding out for the real Q3 2026 release. While you wait, you can already dig into what is known through our interactive map, tier list and team planner.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • “Beta key” and “early access” sites : only the official site is a confirmed channel. Sites selling or gifting Aniimo beta keys for an unreleased game are not endorsed by FunPlus, and I would steer well clear of them.
  • Treating a test build as the real game : balance, content and performance in a pre-launch test do not represent launch. Judging Aniimo from beta footage is premature, and a “it’s bad” or “it’s perfect” verdict before release is just a vibe, not a review.

FAQ: quick answers

  • Is there an Aniimo beta right now? Yes, the Global Closed Beta is live (it started July 9, 2026). Recruitment has already closed, though: sign-ups ended July 5, 2026, so you can no longer join this round. If you registered in time, check the email you signed up with.
  • How do I get an Aniimo beta key? Sign-ups closed on July 5, 2026, so there is no way to join this round now. The only legitimate channel was the official site; FunPlus never disclosed how invites are distributed, so treat any “selection rule” as reported, not confirmed. Ignore third-party “beta key” sellers.
  • Does pre-registering guarantee beta access? FunPlus has not confirmed that it does. Treat pre-registration and beta access as separate.
  • Will my beta progress carry to launch? No. The Global Closed Beta is officially a data-wipe test, so your progress does not carry over.
  • Is the Aniimo beta free? FunPlus has not announced a paid guaranteed-access tier for Aniimo as of this update.
  • What platforms is the Aniimo beta on? The Global Closed Beta runs on PC, iOS, Android and Steam (it is not Steam-exclusive).
