Pawprint Studio and FunPlus premiered a new gameplay trailer at the Future Games Show, and the reveal came with the news players have been waiting for: Aniimo is targeting a global launch in Q3 2026. The game is confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox), and mobile (iOS and Android).
Ahead of that launch, the studio announced a Global Closed Beta Test running “this summer” on PC and mobile, with sign-ups open at aniimo.com. The trailer put the Twining mechanic front and center, the system built around “collecting and merging with magical Aniimo creatures” as Pathfinders explore and bond with them.
The showcase also opened a new water-themed region, the Island of Peace, for exploration. Four new creatures debut: Bubbeep, Popapus, Mophling, and Sausite, alongside new forms Budsquire and Thornblade.
On the competitive side, Diamond Egg Heist pits up to six teams of three Pathfinders against each other, while new co-op boss battles feature Bubbask and Coraliz. Social play expands too: Pathfinders can now exchange Aniimo with each other, and Homeland gains “more customization options and Aniimo-themed decorations.” Astra adds new stores, including a blind box and clothing store.
What this means for players (editor’s note): a named Q3 2026 window plus a summer beta is the clearest timeline yet, and the platform list confirms Aniimo is launching everywhere at once. Player-to-player trading and a 6x3 PvP mode signal the social and competitive backbone is already in place. For the beta itself, see our coverage of the Global Closed Beta opening.
